You may be working while travelling, in a remote office or in an international company with many satellite offices, where online meetings often become necessary. Being on the other side of the monitor, it may be frustrating not to be able to see the presentation and the presenters at the same time, as well as face equipment and connection issues where the video is lagging or the audio is not clear so you are always straining to hear and to be heard. It gets harder when it's a group meeting and there are multiple voices from varying sides of the room.
Here are the essentials for an effective webinar session:
- being ready and present on time
- strong, speedy connections so no words or reactions are lost
- good quality camera, microphone, speaker
- (depending on the meeting) easy visual slides, background, clear voice
