My name is Vivian Lee, after the Gone with the Wind actress of the same name but different spelling, thanks to my film-loving father. I was born in urban Seoul, South Korea, and raised in beautiful Christchurch, New Zealand.
Since leaving my hometown Christchurch in 2007, I have lived, studied and worked in Auckland, Paris, briefly back in Seoul, then onto Melbourne, Bordeaux, London, and... Auckland, again. It has been a series of amazing experiences abroad, but now I am currently happy to have come back to my roots. My majors are in Biomedical Science with a specialisation in reproduction (BSc - Biomedical Science) and French culture and Film, TV and Media Studies (BA - French and FTVMS). I currently work as an Online Communications Specialist for an airline company, looking after its online communications portals and liasing with our global sales teams.
I Talk Too Much My Mouth Hurts is a food and travel blog documenting my every day adventures, exploring the food scenes available in the cities I visit and live in. I love experiencing new things. If you are curious to try a new dish or flavour but are too scared to risk it, I am the person to take with you. Actually, I would have taken you along first. I will go for that exotic choice and share with you.
Being an official editor/curator at I Talk Too Much My Mouth Hurts encourages me to constantly improve on new and previously learnt skills, including HTML, CSS, drawing, photography, and social media management. It is an ongoing process, and if you have any tips or ideas for me, do let me know.
During my year in Paris, 2011, I worked with Jordan Ferney of OhHappyDay.com as her intern. My name pops up here and there on her blog and Pinterest during my time as her assistant. I can also be found at GoMighty.com, another project I assisted Jordan with in 2013.
As a featured Melbourne blogger at Urbanspoon (now Zomato), I have previously been ranked at #98. Now an active Auckland foodie blogger, I am currently ranked at #1. Choice! Woop woop!
While living in Bordeaux in 2014-2015, I have taken part in promoting the city as the 2015 Best European City. Bordeaux went onto win the title after votes online:
